So that members and officers of the Council may be recognized, insignia have been adopted. A member of any member club or any individual member may fly from the yardarm or other appropriate mast, the NBC flag. It is a 10” x 16” rectangle of green, bearing a circle surrounded by fouled anchors. The initials N B C are placed before, in and after the device, all in yellow. Officers and trustees of the Council may wear on the lower part of the left sleeve of their yachting blazer, a similar device in gold thread. Officers of the Council may wear in addition, three-bladed propellers of gold below the Council emblem — one for Secretary, one for Treasurer, two for Vice President, and three for President. Past officers may wear similar insignia with silver letters and propellers. The officers and past president's flags of NBC will bear the markings as shown below. |
